These broadsides announce the events and opportunities of village life in Wiscasset and the nearby towns of Damariscotta, Dresden, Edgecomb, and Boothbay. Includes fairs, festivals, levees, and dramatic entertainments, exhibitions, lectures, goods for sale, notices, meetings, auctions, dances, fund raisers were organized and announced, sale of real estate through bankruptcy or death, he was employed by traveling dentists, physicians, photographers, clairvoyants, tightrope artists, and champion hoppers to advertise their skills.
